Pakistan and Iran have stressed the need for establishing institutional mechanism to oversee the border security, including a joint commission.
This was stated in a joint statement issued after a meeting between Pakistan's National Security Advisor Nasser Khan Janjua and Iran's Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani in Tehran.
The two sides stressed the need for fighting the common threat posed by ISIS and emphasized unity of the Muslim Ummah through resolution of differences among them.
