Chairman NAB vows to eradicate corruption
Says except Pakistan, ranking of other regional countries remained same or dropped during 2015.
Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Qamar Zaman Chaudhry has vowed to eradicate corruption from the country.
Talking to media in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said Pakistan's positive improvement in Corruption Perception Index (CPI) in 2015 ranking proves that initiatives taken by NAB are showing practical results.
The Chairman said except Pakistan, the ranking of other regional countries remained the same or dropped during the period.
He said NAB has recovered over 265 billion rupees since its inception and deposited in national exchequer which is a great achievement.
Qamar Zaman Chaudhry said NAB has received 3,00,009 complaints and authorized 6662 and 3391 investigations. It has filed 2451 corruption references.
