5.8 magnitude quake jolts various parts of country
An earthquake of 5.8 magnitude on the Richter scale jolted different parts of the country, including Islamabad, Rawalpindi and adjoining areas early on Friday morning.
According to Pakistan Metrological Department, the tremors were felt at 2.59 am which were lasted for 57 seconds.
The epicenter of the quake was Alai, 51 kilometers of Mansehra at the depth of 32 kilometers.
The tremors were also felt in Islamabad, Murree, Abbottabad, Swat, Mansehra, Haripur, Malakand, Nowshehra, Shangla, Batgram and adjoining areas.
