China and Pakistan have agreed to continue close consultations for lasting peace and stability in Afghanistan.


Twenty-one registration centres have been established for unregistered Afghan refugees across the country.


An effective guidance system will be in place at the tent city of Mina to facilitate Pakistani pilgrims.

This was assured by Chinese Foreign Minister, Wang Yi while talking to Pakistan's Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua in Beijing.


The Chinese foreign minister lauded Pakistan's great sacrifices made in fight against terrorism and urged international community to fully recognize these efforts.


The foreign secretary, while underlining the importance of Pakistan-China friendship, reiterated Pakistan's support to China on all issues of its core interest.


Both sides also agreed to continue close consultations on efforts for lasting peace and stability in Afghanistan and underscored the importance of the Trilateral Afghanistan-China-Pakistan Foreign Minister's meeting.


They also discussed the entire gambit of bilateral relations, regional, global issues, as well as the situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir.



Pakistan and United Nation High Commissioner for Refugees have jointly launched a registration campaign for registration of Afghan refugees.  


Talking to APP in Islamabad on Sunday, Chief Commissioner for Afghan refugees, Dr Imran Zaib Khan said that twenty-one centers has been established across the country in this regard.


He said so far over 20,000 afghan refugees were registered.


He said that the main purpose of this registration campaign is to facilitate the Afghan refugees maximum and registration cards will be issued to them after Eid-ul Azha.


Imran Zaib said Pakistan took various steps for the welfare of Afghan refugees including education and health sector.


He said that international community appreciated the hospitality and generosity of Pakistan for hosting the world largest number of refugees from a long time.



An effective guidance system will be in place at the tent city of Mina, where pilgrims spend the first day of Hajj rituals, to facilitate Pakistani pilgrims locate their way and tents.


This was stated by Director General Hajj Sajid Yousafani in an exclusive talk with our correspondent Zahid Hameed in Makkah. 


He said there will be pickets of Moavneens close to the tents of Pakistani pilgrims. These Moavneens clad in green jackets and carrying small Pakistani flags will be provided with Mina maps to properly guide the Hujjaj.


He said Mina Maps have been printed and these will also be distributed amongst the Hujjaj so that they could themselves locate their places. In addition, a main office is also established in Mina from where the Pakistani pilgrims can seek any kind of guidance.


Responding to a question, Sajid Yousafani said over two thousand people will be deployed in Mina for the assistance of hujjaj.  


He said the Hujjaj will be provided with Maktab numbers and the train tickets two days before their departure for Mina. He, however, pointed out that about forty five to forty six thousand Pakistani pilgrims will get train tickets while the remaining will travel by buses. 



The Government is making concerted efforts to increase forest cover in the country.


According to official sources, the National Forest Policy was prepared in consultation with provinces and stakeholders, which includes guidelines for forest protection and enhancing tree plantation.


Under Prime Minister's Green Pakistan Program one hundred million new trees will be planted at a cost of 3.6 billion rupees in all four provinces and regions for the period of 2017 to 2020-21.                          



Iran has reopened the Pak Iran Trade Gate in Taftan area of district Chagai.


According to official sources local level trade activities have resumed after reopening of Zero Point Gate which was closed by Iran a month ago.



In Occupied Kashmir, Indian troops martyred three youth during their siege and search operation in Pulwama district.


Talking to newsmen in Srinagar, Inspector General of Police Munir Khan said that three burnt bodies of youth were retrieved from the Police Lines area in Pulwama district.


Meanwhile, Chairman the All Parties Hurriyet Conference Syed Ali Gilani has expressed concern over the plight of Kashmiri pro-freedom prisoners, lodged in detention centers in and outside Kashmir. 


In a statement issued in Srinagar, he strongly criticized New Delhi and the puppet administration for their apathetic, hostile and vengeful behavior against prisoners.



In South Sudan, at least nineteen people including a US journalist have been killed during fighting between government troops and rebels in Yei River state.


According to report, three government soldiers were also killed.
