Provision of safe drinking water to far flung areas Balochistan govt's top priority
Sources say pipeline being laid from Shadi Kaur Dam to Karwat area in Gwadar district at a cost of Rs3.5b.
Balochistan government is giving priority to provision of clean drinking water to the poor masses in far flung areas.
The Chief Engineer Provincial Public Health Engineering Department told Radio Pakistan Quetta on Sunday that for this purpose, a pipeline is being laid from Shadi Kaur Dam to Karwat area in Gwadar district at a cost of 3.5 billion rupees.
Similarly, a project of construction work of Halak Dam for supplying clean drinking water to the residents of Quetta is to be initiated at a cost of 500 million rupees.
He further said that small scale desalination plants are to be installed in Gwadar district at a cost of 500 million rupees.
