Hajj provides platform for promoting unity amongst Muslims: Al Sudais

Head of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the two Holy Mosques Abdul Rehman Al Sudais has said that Hajj provides a platform for promoting unity amongst Muslims.
Addressing a Hajj symposium in Makkah, he said the world is suffering from terrorism, violence and sectarianism. He said justice, security and peace are common objectives of all religions and divine messages. Peace should be the basis of relations between peoples, groups and countries.
Abdul Rehman Al Sudais said Hajj is a time for the world to see Muslims coming together surrounded by peace and love.
He said the Hajj season should be used to spread the spirit of peace amongst Muslims.
Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah Mohammad Salih Bentin expressed hope that the symposium will boost the message of moderation, Islamic values, brotherhood, peace and unity amongst Muslims and humanity as a whole.
He said the number of pilgrims so far reached in Saudi Arabia is 1.6 million and is expected to hit two million on the day of Arafat. He said Saudi Arabia is honored to serve the guests of Allah and it has spared no effort to ensure pilgrims’ comfort.
