Indian troops killed three youth during their siege and search operation in Pulwama district- Complete shutdown was observed in the district

In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed in Pulwama district, today, against the killing of three youth by Indian troops following an attack on Police Lines in the district. All shops and other business establishments were closed while public transport remained off the road in the district. Shutdown was also observed in Bandipora district against the mysterious killing of one 24-year Muzaffar Ahmad Parrey.

Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Barjees Tahir has urged international community to take strict notice of human rights violations by Indian forces in Occupied Kashmir. In a statement in Islamabad today, he said the silence of global community on human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir by Indian forces is beyond understanding.

In a statement in Srinagar, he said, that the political prisoners were for no reason rebuked, intimidated, humiliated and even thrashed by callous jail authorities. He strongly criticized New Delhi and the puppet administration for their apathetic, hostile and vengeful behavior against prisoners. He said all these arbitrary measures would not break their resolve and resilience.

Kashmir University Teachers voice concern over Indian attempts to abrogate the constitutional provision that provides a special status to Jammu and Kashmir

The seminar titled ‘Understanding Constitutional and Political Dimensions of Article 35A’ was organized by Kashmir University Teachers Association at Kashmir University in Srinagar. Addressing the seminar, heads the law department at Central University of Kashmir,Dr Sheikh Showkat Hussainsaid India and its agencies basically want to change the discourse from right to self-determination demand to special position under the Indian constitution. Renowned lawyer, Zafar Shah said, constitution of India in itself gives way for separate constitution of J&K considering it a sovereign republic which has not merged with India. Speaking on the occasion, Air Vice Marshal (Retd) Kapil Kak said, People ruling India now are haunted by 370 and allied Articles since 1947.

All Parties Refugees Council protest rally against US decision of blacklisting Hizbul Mujahideen 

A protest rally against US decision of blacklisting Hizbul Mujahideen was taken out in Muzaffarabad today. The rally started at Muzaffarwani Shaheed Chowk and concluded at Shaheed Afzal Goro Chowk amid US-India bond Murdabad slogans. The participants belonging to all segments of society raised high pitched slogans against US decision on imposing sanctions on Hizbul Mujahideen. Addressing the participants of the rally, the speakers asked US to revise its decision. They said Hizbul Mujahideen is indigenous organization representing sentiments and aspirations of Kashmiris who are struggling for achieving their right to self-determination for the last 70 years.  They are struggling for the same cause under UN charter. They vowed to continue their struggle for right to self determination, their ultimate goal what may come. The speakers strongly condemned genocide of Kashmiris in the held valley and said Indian forces are involved in war crimes and gross human rights violations. India wants to suppress the voices of freedom by applying brute force but it will never succeed because freedom is now the mouth word of every child of Kashmir. They appealed UN and other world level organization to send their special missions to the IOK so as to witness the situation. Serious notice must also be taken as India conspired to change demography of Kashmir by repealing article 35-A in its constitution.
