Kashmiris offering sacrifices for right to self-determination: Majeed
AJK PM urges all democratic forces to forge unity for continuation of democratic process in country.
The AJK Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed has said Kashmiris are offering tremendous sacrifices for their right to self-determination and expressed confidence that their sacrifices would not go waste.
Talking to a group of journalists in Birmingham on Wednesday, he made it clear that Kashmiris would neither accept India’s forced occupation nor compromise for their rights.
He said India could not hoodwink the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir by giving them economic packages through puppet government.
They have rejected economic packages and are committed to continue their struggle until goal is achieved.
The AJK Prime Minister said that India is violating Indus Water Treaty by constructing four projects of hydropower generation by changing direction of Chenab River.
He said the design of Kishan Ganga Dam on River Neelum is in violation of directions of International Court of Arbitration which is equal to water aggression against Pakistan.
He urged India to settle all issues with Pakistan including Kashmir through meaningful and result-oriented dialogue for the sake of restoration of peace in the region.
To a question the AJK Prime Minister said that Pakistan Armed Forces are facing the challenge of terrorism with courage in North Waziristan and hoped that operation Zarb-e-Azb would be crowned with success.
