Democratic system will not be allowed to be derailed: PM

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said there should be no compromise on the supremacy of the constitution and the parliament.
Speaking in the National assembly on Wednesday, he said the governments come and go, but the sustainability of the democratic system should continue. He paid tributes to all political parties for their support to the democratic system. He also lauded the lawyers community and civil society for their commitment with democracy.
The Prime Minister said no one will be allowed to derail the system. He expressed the confidence that the journey for strengthening democracy and ensuring supremacy of the parliament will continue. He said the government will also ensure speedy progress and welfare of the people.
