A four-day International Pharmacy Conference began in Lahore today under the aegis of the Pakistan Pharmacists Association.
The theme of the event is ''Recent advancements, future trends and challenges in Pharmacy''.
Punjab Minister for Health, Dr. Yasmin Rashid was the chief guest on the inaugural ceremony of the conference.
Addressing the ceremony, she said that the provincial government is committed to ensure the provision of standard healthcare facilities to the masses.
She said that the pharmacists have been recruited in the health department on merit.
She said pharmacists play a key role in the medical field and should collaborate with the doctors for better treatment of patients.
Leading pharmacists, chemists, physicians, scientists and representatives of the pharmaceutical companies are attending the conference and presenting their research papers and articles.
