At least 13 people were killed and several other sustained burn injuries when a passenger van overturned and caught fire on the Karachi-Hyderabad Motorway in the jurisdiction of Nooriabad police station last night.

According to spokesman of Motorway Police, the van was on its way from Hyderabad to Karachi.

The Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the incident and directed the Health Department to provide best possible medical treatment to the injured.
