Minister of Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has emphasized the need for acquainting the youth with the country's rich cultural heritage.

She was addressing the inaugural ceremony of a three day youth cultural mela at Lok Virsa in Islamabad on Friday.

The Minister said promotion of cultural heritage is vital to fight social ills such as intolerance.

Marriyum Aurangzeb pointed out that cultural activities are witnessing a surge after improved security situation in the country.

She said we have given the cultural and film policies with the aim to project the true and positive face of the country in the outside world.
