G-20 Summit calls for prompt response against coronavirus threat

The Extraordinary G-20 leaders' Summit in Riyadh has underlined the need of transparent, robust, coordinated, and united response against the common threat of coronavirus pandemic.

A joint statement issued after the Summit that was chaired by Saudi King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz via video link said  G-20 summit is committed to do whatever it takes to overcome the pandemic, along with the United Nations,  World Health Organization, International Monetary Fund and other international organizations, working within their existing mandates.

Meanwhile, G-20 countries have announced the injection of over 5 trillion US dollars into the global economy to cushion the impact of the novel coronavirus.
