CPEC will create immense economic opportunities for country: Mamnoon
Mamnoon Hussain urges youth to equip themselves with latest knowledge and training skills in order to fully benefit from fruits of the CPEC.
Addressing the convocation of Riphah International University in Islamabad on Saturday, he said several projects under the CPEC are already in completion phase. He said Gwadar port has been opertionalized and trade convoys have started playing on the corridor project.
The President said that several other countries including Russia and Central Asian States have expressed interest in joining this project which clearly shows the significance of this mega project.
He said the CPEC also envisages several power projects of nuclear, coal, solar and wind energy. He said efforts are also being made to make Diamer Basha Dam the part of the corridor project which will help the country meet the water shortages.
The President said certain countries are involved in hatching conspiracies against Pakistan but with the blessings of God Almighty, they themselves will become the victim of those plots. He said Pakistan has always desired to have friendly relations with India but the country has never reciprocated to the goodwill gestures.
Earlier, the president gave away awards to outstanding graduating students.
