Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal says the opportunities being created by China-Pak Economic Corridor (CPEC) in the country will be exploited optimally.

Addressing CEO Asia Summit in Karachi on Thursday, he said three billion people of South Asia, China and Central Asia will benefit from the corridor.  

The Minister said both Pakistan and China have started work on the corridor project.

The project has also enhanced the confidence of foreign investors in Pakistan.

He said media should also highlight positive steps being taken by the government side-by-side with criticizing it.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairperson of Benazir Income Support Program Marvi Memon said the government is making all out efforts to support the poor.

She said BISP is among the top five social safety programmes of the world.

She invited the corporate sector to work with BISP to help people in better way.
