Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa since taken the charge as Chief of Army Staff is determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism by all means. COAS wants peace in the country and has taken strict measures against terrorism so far. Terrorists used to come to Pakistan by crossing Pak-Afghan border and went back after carrying out terrorist activities in our country. This is the reason that COAS has directed to seal Torkham and Chaman borders and initiated Operation Radd-ul-Fasad against the militants throughout the country. COAS also met with US Commander in Afghanistan and high Afghan officials in this regard and asked to support Pakistan to eradicate terrorism. General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Pak-Afghan Border areas in Mohmand and Orakzai Agency and directed to initiate the process of fencing Pakistan’s border with Afghanistan. Pakistan and Afghanistan need to cooperate with each other for peace in the region by making Border Management system more effective. It is a positive development that COAS stated to utilize all available resources for restoration of peace.
