Development of health sector govt’s top priority: Shahbaz
CM reviews progress on program of modern healthcare facilities to masses in Lahore.
Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that development of health sector is the priority of the government and billions of rupees are being spent to improve healthcare facilities.
He was chairing a high level meeting to review the progress on the program of modern healthcare facilities to the masses in Lahore on Sunday.
The meeting gave approval for the procurement of the Ultrasound machines for basic health units in the province.
Chief Minister speaking on the occasion said that lady health visitors will be trained to operate these machines.
He said that Prime Minister's Health Insurance Program will be expanded to all districts of the province.
Meanwhile, talking to a Turkish health ministry delegation in Lahore, Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that provision of best healthcare facilities to the masses is the mission of the PML (N) government.
He said that Recep Tayyip Erdogan hospital in Muzaffargarh is being expanded upto five hundred beds.
The head of the delegation, Salami Kelec said that ministry of health of Turkey will extend all out cooperation to Punjab government for improvement of healthcare facilities.
