The Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metro Bus Project has entered in its final phase as around 90 percent work of its Islamabad part and 80 percent of the Rawalpindi part has been completed.

An official of Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) said the multi-billion project is likely to be inaugurated on the 23rd of next month.     

The official said 68 buses have already reached the city and special staff has been recruited for their maintenance and handling.

Each bus has the facility to accommodate 100 passengers.

The project was launched on February 28th last year with 8.5km of its part falling in Rawalpindi and 14.5km in Islamabad.
