Finance Minister says all political parties will have to play their due role to eliminate the menace
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said an All Parties Conference may be convened in next two days to evolve a consensus to check horse trading in the coming Senate elections.
He was talking to the newsmen in Islamabad last night along with Railways Minister Saad Rafique after a meeting with Pakistan Peoples Party leaders, Syed Khursheed Shah and Raja Pervez Ashraf. He said all political parties will have to play their due role to bring an end to the menace of horse trading.
Ishaq Dar said that JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazl ur Rehman has also agreed with the government suggestions and requested some time to study them.
He said Constitution allows for amendment to curb the menace of horse trading and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf needs to play its constitutional role on the issue.
