“Pakistan wants peaceful and prosperous Afghanistan”
September 26, 2021

Najam us Saqib (Former Ambassador): . It is the responsibility of the world powers to come forward and take collective efforts for the economic uplift of Afghanistan. Pakistan is pursuing an effective diplomacy to convince the world community to support Afghanistan at this point of time. Pakistan desires a stable and peaceful Afghanistan. Taliban must be recognized to normalize the lives of Afghani people. The United States is not in the moral position to ask for any guarantees from the Taliban.  The world must realize that Afghanistan is at the verge of humanitarian crises. Pakistan must continue its sincere efforts to restore normal life in Afghanistan.

Dr. Rasool Bakhsh Raees (I.R Expert): The world must recognize the Taliban's government with consensus. If Afghanistan collapses into further crises, then it would be a security concern for the rest of the world as well. There could be a humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan if we abandon the Taliban at this point of the time. The world must devise a comprehensive road map to facilitate Afghanistan at government level and people’s level as well. Pakistan is meeting with heads of the states to rebuild Afghanistan.

Dr. Zafar Nawaz Jaspal (I.R Expert): We have to be patient as far as matters relating to Afghanistan are concerned. A war torn country takes time to get back to normal life. Pakistan desires a stable political and economic situation in Afghanistan. There must be consensus on recognition of the Taliban's government and provision of humanitarian aid to rebuild Afghanistan. Taliban as a political movement have already been recognized by the world powers. There is a need to convince the world community for de jure recognition of the Taliban's government.

Dr.Khalid Mansoor (SAPM on CPEC Affairs): Inclusion of Karachi Comprehensive Coastal Development Zone (KCCDZ) in CPEC in the 10th Joint Cooperation Committee (JCC) for CPEC would expand the horizon of development for the country. The PM has rightly said that it is a game changer achievement. The inclusion would create massive job opportunities for local manpower. It is an opportunity for international investors to invest in Pakistan.  The multibillion dollars project has entered into its second phase. Establishment of special economic zones and involvement of the private sector would make Pakistan a manufacturing Hub. The government is focused on enhancing the import based industry in Pakistan. The incumbent government believes in the policy of inclusion. Every province has its share in the game changer project CPEC.
