Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs, Usman Dar says Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf government is focused on bringing institutional change to achieve socio-economic empowerment of youth.
He said this while talking to a delegation of Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency's Young Politicians Fellowship Programme, who called on him in Islamabad today (Tuesday).
The Special Assistant said for the first time in the history of Pakistan, National Youth Council is being established under the National Youth Development Framework, which will be patronized by the Prime Minister Imran Khan.
He said under Skills Development Programme, one hundred and fifty thousand youth, both male and female, would receive effective technical and vocational training in both high-tech and conventional demand-driven trades to ensure their maximum employability.
Usman Dar said for providing employment to the youth, the government is launching Kamyab Jawan Programme, an SME-lending facility to offer subsidized business loans to the young entrepreneurs for running their own businesses.
