Nation celebrates Eid-ul-Azha
Big Eid congregations were held countrywide where people in large number offered Eid prayers.
Eid-ul-Azha is being celebrated with religious fervor and renewed commitment to offer every sacrifice for the cause of the religion and progress and prosperity of the country.
Big Eid congregations were held throughout the country this morning where people in large number offered Eid prayers. Ulema in their sermons highlighted significance of Eid ul Azha and philosophy of sacrifice.
Federal and provincial governments have chalked out elaborate security arrangements across the country on the occasion to ward off untoward incidents.
Civic authorities of different cities and towns have also made special arrangements for disposal of offals and other solid waste during three days of Eid .
President Mamnoon Hussain offered Eid prayers at State Guest house Karachi. Later, he mixed up with the people and exchanged greetings with them.
Governor Sindh Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan offered Eid prayer at Polo ground in Karachi.
In Islamabad, the main congregation was held at Faisal Mosque where thousands of faithful offered Eid prayers.
After offering Eid prayers, the faithful are now busy in slaughtering of their sacrificial animals, in remembrance of Sunnat-e Ibrahimi.
In Peshawar, Eid prayers were offered in a number of mosques and open places.
Big Eid congregations were held at Sunehri Masjid and Qayyum Sports Stadium.
In Quetta, more than three hundred Eid congregations were held in open places, parks, mosques, Imam Bargahs and Eidgahs.
Chief Minister Balochistan Dr Abdul Malik Baloch offered Eid prayer in Quetta.
In Gilgit, the main Eid congregations were held at Jutial, Konodas Eidgahs and Shah Karim Hostel.
Eid congregations were also held at mosques, Eidgahs, Imam Bargahs and open places in all cities, towns, and villages of Azad Kashmir.
Main Eid congregation was held at Markazi Eidgah in Muzaffarabad.
