In occupied Kashmir, anti-India protest demonstrations, marked by pro-Pakistan slogans were held in Srinagar and other parts of the territory on Friday.

Despite heavy security cover, immediately after Eid prayers, people in large numbers took to the streets in Srinagar, Islamabad, Sopore, Kishtwar, Lolab, Sogam, Bandipore, Baramulla, Pattan, Pulwama, Kulgam, Budgam, Shopian, and other areas of the territory.

The protesters shouted high-pitched pro-Pakistan slogans and hosted Pakistani national flags in Srinagar, Sopore, Bandipore, Kishtwar and other areas.

They demanded that Indian troops should leave Jammu and Kashmir without any further delay.

Several people were critically injured after Indian police personnel fired teargas shells and resorted to baton charge on protestors in Sopore and other areas.
