Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq says Indian forces ' violence against people of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir has imperiled peace in the region.

Addressing the 135th General Assembly of Inter Parliamentary Union in Geneva, he stressed the need to ensure protection of fundamental rights of people as enshrined in constitution of every democratic state.

The Speaker said people of Occupied Kashmir have been under general curfew since July this year and more than 150 people have been killed in cold blood by the Indian occupation forces .

He said the indiscriminate use of pellet guns on unarmed protestor has left over eight hundred people blinded.

Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said the entire Kashmiri leadership is incarcerated under inhumane conditions.

He said the people of Occupied Kashmir look to the forum of Inter Parliamentary Union to help end the repression and violence that they continue to face.
