Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Wednesday forecast rain-thundershower for scattered places of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sahiwal, Lahore, Hazara divisions and Kashmir during next 24 hours.

Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in other parts of the country.      

According to the synoptic situation, seasonal low was lying over north Baluchistan with its trough extending southeastward.

A shallow westerly trough was still affecting Kashmir and its adjoining hilly areas.      

Weak Moist currents from Arabian sea were continuously penetrating into north eastern parts of Punjab and Kashmir.      

The highest maximum temperatures recorded during the last 24 hours were Shaheed Benazirabad and Sibbi 47 C, Larkana, Moenjodaro and Sukkur 46 C and Jaccobabad 45 C.      

The maximum temperatures recorded during the last 24 hours were Islamabad 34 C, Lahore 32 C, Karachi 35 C, Peshawar 40 C, Quetta 37 C, Skardu 33 C, Murree 24 C, Muzaffarabad 37 C, Gilgit 39 C, Faisalabad 37 C, Multan 41 C and Hyderabad 40 C.      

The rainfall recorded was Gujranwala 10 mm, Sialkot 09, Mandi Bahuddin 08, Kotli, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Murree 03, Lower dir, Mangala and Gujrat 02 mm.
