Various political and social organizations have strongly condemned killing of a youth and injuring of four others in firing by Indian troops at Sopore in Baramulla district.

Veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani in a statement termed the action as the worst kind of state terrorism and lawlessness.

He described the arrest of Hurriyet leaders and imposition of curfew in Sopore as grave human rights violations.

Hurriyet leaders, Mohammad Yousuf Naqash and Shabbir Ahmad Dar in a joint statement have also expressed grief and shock over the cold blooded murder.
