The 70th death anniversary of Nawab Bahadur Yar Jung is being observed on Wednesday (June 25).

He was prominent figure of Pakistan movement.

Nawab Bahadur Yar Jung , born on February 3, was an unusual revolutionary. Born and brought up amid the luxuries of aristocratic Hyderabadis society, Bahadur Khan grew up in to a top Islamic scholar, an intellectual and a restless leader who wanted to uplift the Muslim masses socially, educationally and economically in the British ruled India.

An electrifying orator Bahadur Khan, took active part in the Pakistan movement and was a good friend of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
