In Syria, at least eight people have been killed and thirty other injured in air strikes in Ghouta town.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the deaths were the first civilian casualties in the area since a cessation of hostilities was declared on Saturday.   

Meanwhile, a war monitor reported Air strikes in Ghouta and insurgent shelling from the rebel-held area landed near the Russian embassy strained a Russian-backed truce in the area.
