The visits like this are always beneficial for both countries. With high level meetings, trade relations between the countries improve. Maldives is the smallest country of the region. India interferes into the matters of small countries of the region. The smaller countries of the region can stand united against India. Pakistan can enhance its position by developing relations with small countries. This visit of the Prime Minister will send a good message worldwide.
Cowardly incidents of terrorism cannot lower national resolve to eliminate militancy from its roots in the country: COAS
Chairing a security meeting in Lahore, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa says we are making gains in breaking connectivity between terror masterminds, their facilitators and executors. Army fully supports and stands with police and other law enforcement agencies towards performance of their role as first responders. Regional actors and hostile intelligence agencies are fully involved to use terror as policy tool. Concurrent blasts at Kabul and Lahore are testimony of our stance that both Pakistan and Afghanistan are victims of terrorism and will continue to suffer if these actors are able to use Afghan territory with impunity. Pakistan is ready to help Afghanistan to eliminate terrorist safe havens in their border areas as we have done on our side. Meanwhile, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Marriyum Aurangzeb says all provinces and state institutions are on one-page in the fight against terrorism.
