According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), different parts of the country received showers during the last 24 hours were in mm (millimeter): Rawalpindi (Chaklala 129, Shamsabad 48), Murree 122, Islamabad (Bokra 93, Z.P 86, Saidpur 43, Golra 22), Muzaffarabad 43, Kakul 40, Rawalakot 18, Gujrat 14, Garhi Dupatta 10, Sialkot (Cantt 10, A/P 06), Chakwal, Malamjaba 07, Kotli, Jehlum 05, Mangla 04, M.B. Din 03, Gujranwala 01.

Scattered rain with thundershower is expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Peshawar, Hazara, Malakand, Mirpur Khas, Karachi, Larkana, Hyderabad Makran Divisions and Kashmir during the next 12 hours.

Temperature of some major cities recorded on Friday morning was:

Islamabad and Quetta 25 degree centigrade, Lahore 26, Karachi 29, Peshawar 27, Gilgit and Muzaffarabad 23 and Murree 18 degree centigrade.

According to the synoptic situation, well-marked Seasonal Low lies over northwest Baluchistan and its adjoining areas with its trough extending southeastwards. A westerly wave is also prevailing over upper parts of the country. Strong monsoon currents are continuously penetrating into upper parts of the country and Sindh.
