Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs says peace in the region is in the interest of everyone
Advisor on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz has expressed the hope that US President Barack Obama's visit to South Asia will help reduce tension in the region.
Talking to media in Islamabad on Sunday, he said the cherished goal of progress and prosperity in the region cannot be achieved without good relations between Pakistan and India. Sartaj Aziz said peace in the region is in the interests of everyone.
To a question, the advisor said US Secretary of State John Kerry was apprised of Pakistan's reservations on various issues during his recent visit to Islamabad.
