230-km transmission line to be laid to link Thar Coal project to national grid
The ground-breaking ceremony of coal mining at Thar Coal Block-II will be held on Friday.
According to officials‚ up to 660 megawatts of electricity will be generated in the first phase from the project.
In the second phase‚ the capacity to generate electricity from Block-II will be raised up to 1320 megawatt.
Two hundred and thirty kilometres transmission line will be laid to link the power to national grid for distribution.
