Director General, Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation Saba Mohsin Raza said that Radio Pakistan’s Sautul Quran Channel will start its transmission very soon from Bahawalpur.

While addressing the staff and artists of Radio Pakistan Bahawalpur during her visit on Saturday, she said that Radio Pakistan as a voice of nation is playing its effective role for the promotion of national harmony and cohesion among the masses in the country.

She said that Radio Pakistan has created awareness among the people about socio-economic, cultural, educational and religious issues through news and programmes aired from its broadcasting units across the country.

She said that Radio Pakistan has a largest network across the country to cater the needs of the people‚ particularly in far-flung areas.

She lauded the services of Radio Pakistan‚ Bahawalpur for the promotion and preservation of the centuries old rich heritage‚ customs‚ traditions‚ music and literature of Cholistan desert and South Punjab.

Earlier, Station Director, Radio Pakistan, Bahawalpur, Syed Tariq Hussain Shah in his welcome address highlighted the achievement of Radio Pakistan, Bahawalpur and said that Radio Pakistan Bahawalpur broadcast its transmission in Urdu, Saraiki and Punjabi language.

Deputy Controller News, Radio Pakistan Bahawalpur Sajjad Parvez briefed the Director General that Radio Pakistan Bahawalpur broadcasting two News Bulletins daily one each in Urdu and Saraiki languages daily and also covered the three districts of Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan and Bahawalnagar for National News Coverage.
