The nation is celebrating 141st birthday of the founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah with national zeal and zest today. The national flag is hoisted atop all public and private buildings. The day dawned with Qur'an Khwani at the Quaid's mausoleum in Karachi. A change of guard ceremony was held at Mazar-e-Quaid this morning.

President massage: In his message on the birth anniversary of the Quaid-e-Azam, the President says the best tribute to founder of the nation is to dedicate all our capabilities for national development while adhering to his teachings and thoughts. The entire nation remembers the founder of the nation with utmost reverence and great admiration.

PM message: The Prime Minister says we can pay real homage to the memory of Quaid-e-Azam by reaffirming our abiding faith in his teachings. We need to forge unity in our ranks to defeat the forces of extremism and uphold the principles of democracy, peaceful coexistence and rule of law. Muhammad Nawaz Sharif says the Quaid's message of Unity, Faith and Discipline must be the guiding principles for all of us as a nation. We should pledge for national unity and a prosperous and developed Pakistan.

“Christians across world celebrate Christmas today”

The Christian community is celebrating Christmas across the world today to mark the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ (AS). The Christians in Pakistan will also celebrate their religious festival with traditional enthusiasm. Special services will be held in churches across the country, and prayers will be offered for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan. This year, a special Christmas Peace Train has been launched by Railways Ministry to express solidarity with the Christian community.
