KPK govt working on various micro hydro projects
The project will cost Rs5bn and will generate over 7MW of cheap electricity.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) government is working on a number of micro hydro power projects in Hazara division.
According to sources, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has directed Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organization to start forty six new mini hydel projects in districts Mansehra and Torghar.
The feasibility and designing of Brondo dam in district Torghar has also been completed and its construction would start soon.
The project will cost five billion rupees and will generate over seven megawatt (MW) of cheap electricity.
