Pakistan to prosper by following guiding principles of Quaid-e-Azam: Marriyum
Says Quaid-e-Azam reiterated that most important thing in the history of any nation is education.
Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb says by following the guiding principles of Quaid-e-Azam, Pakistan will be made prosperous and developed country.
She was addressing the concluding ceremony of the week-long celebrations in connection with the 141st birthday of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah held under auspices of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting at Liaqat Gymnesium in Islamabad this evening.
She congratulated all the participants for fully participating in the celebrations of the birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. She said that we will make Pakistan, Quaid's Pakistan in true sense. She thanked all the departments of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for fully organizing the events of the week.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said that Quaid-e-Azam has reiterated that the most important thing in the history of the country and nation is education. She said that without education no progress can be made. She said that Quaid has always reiterated for unity, faith and discipline. She said that in line with the Quaid's vision the nation is celebrating Christmas with the Christian community today.
The Minister of State said that we will have to follow discipline in all spheres of life to move forward. She said that today we make pledge that we will work together to make Pakistan, Quaid's Pakistan in true sense.
She said that today is also Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif's birthday and we all congratulate him on this occasion. She said that the Prime Minister always work hard for the progress, prosperity and development of the country.
Addressing the ceremony, Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhary said that the government is working hard on all fronts to make Pakistan truly according to the vision of Father of the Nation. He said all the challenges facing the country including terrorism, extremism, unemployment, corruption and power shortage are being addressed properly. He said Pakistan is among the best countries of the world.
Tariq Fazal said that today's Pakistan is much better than the past. He said Pakistan has become the sole atomic power of the Islamic world under the leadership of Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. He said the incidents of terrorism have been significantly reduced and the economy has improved. He said we will continue to work hard to make Pakistan Quaid's Pakistan in true sense.
Addressing the ceremony, Director General Pakistan national Council of the Arts Jamal Shah said that during the week-long celebrations all the departments of the ministry including Radio Pakistan, Pakistan Television, Press Information Department, Pakistan National Council of the Arts, Internal Publicity Wing, External Publicity Wing, Cyber Wing, Directorate of Electronic Media and Publication, Lok Virsa and allied departments organized special programmes to pay homage to the father of the nation and highlight different aspects of his life.
Jamal Shah said that during the week a number of events were organized including formation of a Mosaic by 1440 students, live painting contest, puppet show, and exhibition of Quaid's photographs at
PNCA, Quaid quiz, puppet show, tubule contents, Urdu and English speech contests, national songs contest, cultural show, cake designs contest, display of Quaid's memorable and special programmes broadcast by Radio Pakistan and Pakistan television.
During the function students of different educational institutions presented national songs, tableaus, poems and Urdu and English speeches.
The ceremony was attended by the Secretary Information and Broadcasting Saba Mohsin, Director General Radio Pakistan Khursheed Malik, parliamentarians, diplomats, school children, senior government officials and people belonging to all walks of life.
