In Occupied Kashmir, Hurriyet leaders have termed the New Delhi’s attempts aimed at changing the Jammu and Kashmir’s demography as unacceptable.

Addressing the people, during visiting of South, North and Central Kashmir areas, they vowed to oppose the move to change the disputed nature of the territory.

They paid glowing tributes to the youth martyred in the firing by Indian forces during the ongoing resistance movement.

A statement issued by the Mirwaiz-led forum said that the Hurriyet leaders had said that the sacrifices of the martyrs had once again brought the Kashmir dispute to international focus.

Meanwhile, the forum condemned the continued detention of Hurriyet leader Ghulam Nabi Zaki despite the court ordered his release.

Meanwhile, a complete shutdown was observed in Pulwama district on the first martyrdom anniversary of a mujahid, who was martyred by Indian troops on this day in Bandipora district, last year.

All the shops remained closed while transport was off the roads.
