In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K), Hurriyat forum led by illegally detained Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has said that on October 27 the black day" will be observed by all as “Occupation Day.”

In a statement in Srinagar, Hurriyat forum said it was on this day of 27th of October 1947 when Indian troops invaded Jammu and Kashmir and occupied it in blatant violation of Partition Plan of the Subcontinent and against the Kashmiris' aspirations.

It also appealed to Kashmiris living across the globe to observe the day as Black Day in solidarity with their Kashmiri brethren under Indian occupation.
