UN General Assembly President Miroslav Lajcak has called to end lingering conflicts in Syria, South Sudan, Yemen, Libya, Somalia and Afghanistan.

Inaugurating a high level meeting in New York on peace-building across the globe, he said UN Charter makes us to save coming generations from scourge of war. He stressed the need of new approach to save the people in places of conflicts.
