China has demanded of the United States to reverse its decision to impose fresh sanctions on North Korea.

China's Foreign Ministry in a statement, said the unilateral actions could undermine cooperation between Beijing and Washington.

It said the only possible way to reduce tensions on the Korean Peninsula is through talks.
