China says the presence of U.S. military in South China Sea to flex its muscles is not good for peace in the region.
Talking to media in Beijing, the foreign ministry spokesman, Zhao Lijian said, United States frequently sends aircrafts and vessels into the South China Sea which is not conducive to peace and stability in the region.
He reiterated China’s position that Taiwan is an inalienable part of China and United States should abide by “one China” principle.
China has repeatedly complained about U.S. Navy ships getting close to islands it occupies in the South China Sea, where Vietnam, Malaysia, the Philippines, Brunei and Taiwan all have competing claims.
