A week-long Youth Festival commenced at the Arts Council of Pakistan in Karachi on Sunday.

The Provincial Senior Minister for Education Nisar Ahmed Khoro inaugurated the festival.       

Competitions in various categories of singing, theatre, dance, quiz, painting, photography, essay writing and speech will be held.

It aims to provide the youth a platform to showcase their talent.

Youth from 13 to 29 years of age are taking part in the competitions.

The cash prize of one hundred thousand rupees will be awarded to the winners of each category.

The event has been organized by Arts Council of Pakistan in association with Sindh Department of Youth Affairs.
