Investment in oil, gas sector on the rise: Khaqan
Petroleum Minister says Pakistan would get 1.325 billion cubic feet gas per year from TAPI pipeline project.
Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said investment in the oil and gas sector of the country is on the rise.
Talking to a private television channel, he said Pakistan would get 1.325 billion cubic feet gas per year from the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) pipeline project.
He said it would receive five hundred million US dollars royalty alone from India and pay the same to Afghanistan.
The minister said the pipeline project costing ten billion US dollars would be purely financed by independent financers.
Khaqan Abbasi said gas received through the TAPI project would be cheaper.
