President calls for modernizing education system
Mamnoon Hussain addresses National Education Conference in Islamabad.
President Mamnoon Hussain has emphasized the need for modernizing the education system keeping in view the national objectives.
He was addressing the national education conference in Islamabad on Tuesday.
The President said there is a need of an education system under which the educated youth can serve the people with their best capabilities.
He said under the Prime Minister's direction a committee was formed headed by Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training Baligh-ur-Rehman for preparing a uniform curriculum. He pointed out that education experts from the four provinces are included in the Committee. He urged the educationists to also put forward their proposals to the Committee in this regard.
Mamnoon Hussain said there is a need for a strong education system for bright future of the youth and the country. He stressed that education and examination systems should be reviewed and improved.
He said through present education and examination systems one can get information and not knowledge. He said improvement of education can help improve the whole system of the country. He said in this regard we should learn from the outside world.
President Mamnoon Hussain said work on energy projects is going on speedily and energy crisis will be ended by 2018.
He said China Pakistan Economic Corridor has created new possibilities and we should take full benefits of the mega project. He said Central Asian states can take great benefit from CPEC.
The President said corruption is a cancer and we should make united efforts for its elimination.
He said due to weak policies in the past, education sector was affected badly and now full attention is being paid on it.
He said every individual should play its role for the development and prosperity of the country. He hoped that Pakistan will be an important country in the coming days.
