Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said government is developing a modern network of roads to provide the best possible communication facilities to the masses . He was addressing the inaugural ceremony of Metro Bus service in Multan on Tuesday. He said the whole country from Karachi to Khunjrab will be connected through motorways and expressways. He said work is in progress on six-lane motorway from Lahore to Multan , Gojra to Khanewal and Multan to Sukkur while contract of Hyderabad Motorway will be awarded soon. The Prime Minister said the government is also executing many power projects across the country to overcome energy crisis.

The enthusiasm in the common people was exceptional today. The metro project is a gift for people of Multan and South Punjab. A large number of people will benefit from this project. They will enjoy luxurious travelling only with 20 rupees. This is a great achievement of the incumbent government . The students of Bahauddin Zakariya University will benefit from this service more than anybody else.

Pakistan Navy is fully prepared for the security of Indian Ocean and maintenance of peace
Addressing a ceremony in Karachi , Defence Minister Khawaja Asif appreciated the role of Pakistan navy regarding security of China Pakistan Economic Corridor. The Minister commended Navy's role in improving living standard of the masses along country's coastal line. Earlier Pakistan establish special Security division to protect CPEC and Chinese workers on these projects The Ministry of Interior has issued a notification to this effect: Pakistan has established Special Security Division to protect fifty-five billion dollars China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.

Nearly, 80% of the world trade is carried through oceans. It is cheapest trade route of all available options. CPEC will connect Pakistan with Central Asian republics through sea routes. Just like land routes, trade through oceans is also protected. Naval forces of Pakistan are doing this job to protect sea routes from pirates and other threats. As trade will increase, significance of naval force will also increase. Maritime security is important task of navy. An organized naval force is imperative for protection of vast oceanic routes.

Trump consults Egypt, Israel on embassy shifting
US President Donald Trump spoke by phone on Monday to Egyptian President Fattah al Sisi, a day after a similar call to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. US media reported that the calls were part of the new president’s consultations for a proposed shifting of the United States embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. The White House, which confirmed the two calls, did not give a readout.
China says will protect South China Sea sovereignty
China said on Tuesday it had "irrefutable" sovereignty over disputed islands in the South China Sea after the White House vowed to defend "international territories" in the strategic waterway.
