Musharraf to be indicted in high treason case on 1 Jan
Musharraf's lawyer said his client could not appear in the court today because of security threat.
Special court has adjourned the hearing of treason case against General [retired] Parvez Musharraf till first of next month.
In the next hearing‚ the former dictator will be indicted. The court directed that Pervez Musharraf should be given foolproof security from his residence to the court premises.
Special Court headed by Justice Faisal Arab began heard thr treason case against Pervez Musharraf in Islamabad on Tuesday.
At the outset of the proceedings‚ the counsel of Pervez Musharraf‚ Anwar Mansur raised objections on the constitution of special court and appointment of the prosecutor.
He said his client could not appear in the court because of security threat. The court asked the counsel to file separate plea if there are security threats to Pervez Musharraf .
