GBDMA directs DDMAs to submit floods, rains damage assessment
Ten persons were killed, 21 injured by recent flash floods in Gilgit Baltistan.
Gilgit Baltistan Disaster Management Authority (GBDMA) has directed Chairmen Districts Disaster Management Authorities (DDMAs) to submit floods and rains damage assessment and verification report before 30th of this month.
This was stated by a spokesman of GBDMA in an interview to Radio Pakistan in Gilgit on Monday.
The GBDMA has also asked chairmen DDMAs for constitution of damage assessment and verification committees at village level to ensure true and transparent losses reports.
Our Gilgit correspondent Sher Muhammad Reports that ten persons were killed and twenty one injured by recent flash floods in Gilgit Baltistan.
The floods also affected 269 villages, completely demolished 360 houses and damaged 452 houses in Gilgit Baltistan.
