Prime Minister Imran Khan has appreciated the efforts being made by Ministry of Science and Technology in promoting scientific and technical education and research in the country.
He was chairing a meeting to review progress on establishment of state-of-the-art University of Engineering and Emerging Technologies at Prime Minister House in Islamabad.
The Prime Minister directed that the aspect of value addition in the sphere of agriculture should be accorded priority.
Imran Khan also approved a proposal presented by Minister for Science and Technology and Chairman HEC to select top 15 universities of the country after a due process and accord them elite university status.
Meanwhile, Advisor on Finance Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, Planning Minister Khusro Bakhtyar, Advisor on Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood and other members of the economic team called on Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad on Saturday.
They discussed economic situation of the country and a detailed roadmap to improve economy.
Meanwhile, Advisor to Prime Minister Imran Khan on Finance Abdul Hafeez Sheikh says we are preparing a road-map for economy to take important decisions for the wellbeing of masses.
Addressing a press briefing after the meeting of economic team with Imran Khan in Islamabad, he said under this roadmap the team will apprise the Prime Minister about all key decisions on weekly basis.
Abdul Hafeez Sheikh said Prime Minister has directed to accomplish mega project speedily to benefit grassroots.
