Omar Abdullah released after 8 months of detention

In occupied Kashmir, the Indian authorities released National Conference leader and former puppet Chief Minister Omar Abdullah from house arrest today.

Booked under the Public Safety Act, Omar Abdullah has been under detention for the last seven months since India abrogated Article 370 that gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir on August 5, 2019.

Omar’s father and Chairman National Conference Farooq Abdullah was also released from house arrest on 16th of this month.
