A World Bank report says that China Pakistan Economic Corridor will create large economic surpluses and have positive impact all across the society.

The report titled “The Web of Transport Corridors in South Asia” has been co-authored by World Bank economist, Martin Melecky and international donor agencies.

The report noted that the CPEC, which has huge investment in road, railways and ports, offers enormous potential for Pakistan to boost its economy, reduce poverty, spread benefits widely and help those likely to be affected by the new trade route.

The report was published by Asian Development Bank, the UK Department for International Development, Japan International Cooperation Agency, and the World Bank which discusses several economic corridors including CPEC.
